Portrait of a GFFer: Kelsey Vusich

Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, Kelsey has always been very active hiking, skiing and snowboarding – it’s hard to find those activities here in Texas! She attended Kansas State University where she graduated with her Masters of Architecture degree in 2013. Kelsey feels blessed to be given the opportunity to move to Dallas, and has really enjoyed getting to know the city. Read below for more about Kelsey!

  1. I have been drawing floor-plans since I was in grade school and loved rearranging the furniture in my Barbie Dream House – more than playing with Barbie herself.
  1. My mom is one of my heroes, surviving stage 4 breast cancer.
  1. I completed the ARE’s and my biggest life accomplishment this past January 2016 was when I became a registered Architect.
  1. I have been to both the Summer and Winter Olympics; my next adventure is Paris in the Spring of 2017.
  1. The James Bond movie, Die Another Day, was the reason I took up fencing in junior high and was a member of a competitive team in high school.
  1. Even though I grew up in several feet of snow in Utah, I will always prefer a tropical beach. My favorite beach destination is Roatan, Honduras.
  1. When I am not climbing up a mountain or water skiing on the lake, I can be found water coloring or reading in my down time.
  1. I love animals so much so that I am typically fostering one or two extra creatures in my home.
  1. A pet peeve of mine is when close friends can’t pronounce my last name… it’s pronounced ‘VIEW – SICH’
  1. I can wiggle my ears!
